Ok, I get a little frustrated at times.  ;0)

The topics today:  NYC + luxurious, pure and yummy products.

As a Virgo with a Venus in Leo (I love Love and Beauty all the time) I enjoy, NO! I thrive on the sensuality of love, beauty and luxury.  Having just recently returned to the City of Angels (Los Angeles) from a makeup/grooming assignment I had in New York for a client appearing on MTV and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (I ran into cutie pie Matthew McConaughey who was also a guest ;D).  

NYC: I absolutely LOVE the cultural jambalaya of NYC; the food, art, music, fashion, enterprise, and all the colorful characters. The "tell-me-yes-tell-me-no-tell-me-now" mentality. New York has a heartbeat of which the dreamers from all-over the world assemble to make it happen.

YUMMY, PURE & LUXURIOUS: If you're anything like me and committed to living a sensual, luxurious, passionate life. It can get to be pretty frustrating to have the feeling you're always looking over your shoulder, avoiding landmines for toxic substances and ingredients. I've become like Inspector number thirteen (#13) examining every product/foodstuff sometimes ingredient labels boldly toxic and unsafe while othertimes cleverly cloaked in "natural."  Just because I desire pure and safe doesn't mean that I don't deserve it yummy and luxurious. In this week's electronic rendezvous (video) I talk about my NYC adventure and offer you an opportunity to partner with me in creating a world where our most beautiful and luxurious places to eat, buy food and beauty products are all pure and safe.

We all deserve to eat yummy food and utilize the best products available. I desire to live in a world that I don't have to always look over my shoulder when it comes to eating and "making pretty" but explore the magic of this life.

Anyway, as I write this I'm sipping on freshly juiced cucumber and basil (recipe: two huge cucumbers and a half a bundle of basil sent through a juicer) from my local  farmer's market (and listening to "No Church In The Wild" by Jay-Z from my Spotify radio station "Bad Religion" by Frank Ocean.)

GREEN in your body is like taking a happy pill. Drinking the Sun (breath of life) makes you feel good. I certainly don't feel like this AFTER I eat a cupcake or crispy bacon . . . hmmm . . . interesting. 
Nature does give us clues doesn't she. ;)
 

NEW MOON: The NEW Moon phase began yesterday. This is the phase of the moon cycle to begin again, re-boot, start a clean slate, launch! Although . . . I do feel that everyday (every moment) is an opportunity to begin again?

2012 has been such a profoundly beautiful, transformative, paradigm-shifting, rock-you-to-the-core type of year and it's all good. It's time for everybody's next level to be   experienced and celebrated. Yes?

HOLISTIC BEAUTY . : .  360° 
I began my makeup artist career perfecting how to create a flawless face and the external elements of making my clients look stunning. Lately I've been looking at how I will upgrade how I continue to serve my clients and our community.  For the last fifteen years I've been very interested in how to create beauty for my clients on every level. I often say that beauty is the currency that comes from being well; well in your Spirit, mindset, heart, as well as sexually/creatively. Each of these areas in harmony creates one who is magnetically beautiful.

TWILIGHT WHISPERING . : . A BIG QUESTION
This morning in the wee hours I was compelled to make this video for a rendezvous with you. It also came to me to ask you the same question I've been asking my Self while I prepare for a new era of service.

If you had ONE time to give ONE message to every person in our global community what would that message be?

Ask your mate, your friends, family, co-workers this question, listen and dialogue. This week I've been heavily inspired by a Nike TV spot that I did with one of my most legendary clients, Michael Jordan many years ago. In the spot he talked about failure being essential to success.  He gave the stats of how many shots he missed and games he lost.

The spot so powerfully shows people the other side of success, a more realistic picture of the process. We all miss, fail, and screw up at times. That's actually what it looks like when we are approaching success.  So the question now becomes . . ."Did I fail today?"

I’ve been on the holistic beauty path for about fourteen (14) years. As a holistic beauty advisor who guides and educates others on beauty and wellness I don’t ever want to appear to be perfect (although I do try sometimes) or that it’s always smooth sailing for me.  That’s no where close to the truth.  I have temptations, challenges, and screw-ups just like the next person.

Do you remember when you first learned to ride a bike?

Me?  I was about eight (8) years old.  When I finally was able to stay upright and cruise around my neighborhood, I felt absolutely free. I could go far and wide without my mother or use of a car.  My bike was my car.  This summer I have re-kindled that childhood pleasure.  I bought my current bike from a friend leaving the country for fifty bucks, got it "tuned-up" and I've been rollin' ever since.

Initially I thought it would be a good idea to reduce my "carbon footprint" and save money on gas.  Good intention right?  In the process, I've discovered so many wonderful and abundant serendipities. So here are some of the goodies I found during an extraordinarily exhilarating three-hour bike adventure a couple of days ago.  

no. 1    SPIRIT: It just feels good to be free and open on the bike. 

            Riding without an iPod (which is much safer) allows you to  

            hear all the sounds of nature which is highly meditative.

no. 2    CREATIVITY: Each time I ride I get many new ideas,     

            insights and solutions.  Carry a notepad and pencil with you to 

            catch the whispers and wisdom of the Universe.

no. 3    DE-STRESS: If you are taking in air through your nose and 

            breathing out of your nose, your lungs get a charge of life   

            force while kicking your nervous system back into maintenance mode.  Riding amongst trees is 

            the ultimate. It's a beautiful exchange of taking in the oxygen they omit while they consume your 

            carbon dioxide. Taking in oxygen through deep breathing kicks stress's bee-hind.

no. 4    GET A KISS: If the Sun is shining, you get a nice dose of vitamins without drinking a drop of 

            milk.  A golden, bronze or copper body from the sunkiss is always healthysexy. Slather on a bit 

            of sesame oil and shea butter to avoid an overdose of the Sun. :)

no. 5    HEART: Bring the cardio out of the gym and out into the fresh air. Depending on where you 

            live, you may be lucky enough to have a variety of terrain and elevation to make your journey 

            more diverse.

no. 6    SCULPT: Ridin' up those hills will definitely sculpt your calves, thighs and bee-hind. Time to 

            pull out those daisy dukes ladies. Watch your posture dearheart. ;)

no. 7    NO PETRO!: Leave the car keys at home while Mama Earth smiles. No petro-emissions spout 

            into the air when you ride your bike.  Whenever possible, your choice to bike reduces the 

            demand for oil drilling and commerce.

no. 8    FREE: My bike cost me fifty dollars and a tune-up two years ago. That sure beats 4.89 per 

            gallon for gas, parking and the possibility of getting a parking ticket.  

no. 9    ADVENTURE: You never know what you're going to see. Walking and biking through 

            different neighborhoods enable you to really get to know an area.  You notice places and things 

            you'd barely and rarely notice while in your car.  On my bike adventure I saw three little wonders 

            of nature that made me go, "Awwwe."  A little shitzu puppy in a bike basket, two pastel-colored 

            butterflies dancing and a yellow caterpillar crossed the sidewalk. 

no. 10  GET IT DONE!: On my bike adventure I had a nice lunch, wrote in my journal and picked up 

            groceries from Whole Foods. Have a rack installed on the back of your bike and bungy-cord 

            those packages baby! 

So now do you see the benefits of getting out of your car and hoppin' on your bike? You will watch your natural beauty amplify. It feels and looks amazing!  Before you get on the road, make sure to find out and observe all of the safety precautions of riding for your area.
